I'm sure this will change, and historic data will be forever in the hands of some service I can't control. But, I've been a control freak for years and it's mostly been a headbanging experience for me. Disqus is one of the social discussion tools that hot today, so I'm using it today. I've finally come to the realization that it's all evanescent anyway. Social media and business in general is all about learning to go with the flow. Give the peeps what they want, right or wrong they're paying the tab.
