Don't build flash animation ANYTHING that's telling an important story, unless it's active video. Video is the only thing worth suffering flash animation.

Why?

• Search engines can't index your content
• People on iPhones can't read it unless they've hacked their iPhone
• It's a waste of time in most cases
• You can probably make it look just as good with HTML and enjoy the MANY benefits

If you just want your site to look cool, then have fun with silly curly flip pages, sound effects and the like. If you want to get paid, stick to readable, lowest common denominator interfaces that are clean, crisp, simple to use, phone friendly and tell your story with text, images and occasional video.

Bonus: Many people can watch YouTube videos but can't navigate a flash website with flash navigation. NEVER build a site with flash navigation unless you want to alienate a huge chunk of your prospects and don't care about search engine traffic.
