Pills vs. food (a trial approach)

Like I warned, I tired of posting my every food selection on a public blog fast. Plus, I feel compelled to add some pithy life statement that relates. Fortunately, I'm a well of assertions and observations and have an associative memory that jogs ideas from virtually any experience or event. Alas, I have work to do so there's only so far I can take that before it becomes a time sucking vortex.

Here's the update: I'm on a new diet plan. It's simple. Eat less. Presently, I'm taking a hand full (literally) of supplements daily in lieu of several small meals. The goal is to keep my protein high enough to avoid losing significant muscle tissue (especially organs) and cut my calories deep enough to drop a quick ten to twenty pounds. I'm so packed and so fat that I'm having trouble sleeping and losing weight appears to be the most effective treatment. I could go to a sleep clinic, buy a CPAP and perhaps get a few more meds. But, that all takes time and money and the weight loss solves other daytime problems as well.

Oddly, popping the pills makes me less hungry. It's possible I'm experiencing a sudden rush of nutrients of which create a lack caused hunger pangs. It's also possible my stomach and gut are busy digesting and disposing of these massive quantities of nutrients and simply feels full. Either way: win.

I'm taking a B complex pill (mega dose, big pill), Co Q-10, D-3, K2, magnesium, zinc, refined omega-3, niacin and DHEA. Add my diabetic meds and I'm taking a bulk of pills on this regimen. We'll see how long that lasts.

Simple goal: feel better. Assumed step in goal: lose weight.
