SFTP Made Simple (and free)

by jasonn | March 29, 2005 - 2:03pm

Core FTP is free. At least it is for now. It handles SFTP fairly cleanly and fast. I just turned on a client to the program, since they didn't seem to be able to get anything else to work with their new server (which I'd really rather they not access with standard FTP). I don't think I'll ever allow standard ftp to my server again. It's too risky.

SFTP is default in the FreeBSD installation, and is really a preferred method of sending files to and fro.
