A new breed of American Calvinist worships at the altar of Economic democracy. The democratic state shall dispense compensation based on values assessed by the vote, not the money of those who buy goods and services. Born evil, we are unable to resist ill-gotten gain. Economic liberty is temptation. Totally depraved, we are incapable of treating our fellow man decently without the checks and balances of a democratic controller. Too much freedom always leads to much wickedness. So says the church of Christian socialism.
