INFO: Simple, fast, straightforward... and a dash of JasonN blunt opinions.

Ever since 1997, I've been giving people the straight dope on PCs and internet technologies. I didn't come to tech as an Information Systems engineer, or via tradeschool, college, even a career choice. I got here selling stuff, very non-tech stuff at that. I first noticed the internet as a commercial opportunity in 1994, then in 1997, someone talked me into starting an ISP (Internet Service Provider). I was young, and learned fast. The rest of the 90s was a fast track conversion to hybrid businessman / tech geek. You may call me guru if you wish :)

I'm just like you, seeking information, wanting to do something besides spend all day learning about my computer, or computer technology. But, in today's world, the technology we have is our most powerful leverage against cheaper labor, lower profits, and kamikaze competition. If you want to be efficient, you need to get up to speed on making tech do some of your work.

Often, I've found tech slowing me down, actually getting in my way. Like in 1999, when I could have as easily done my billing and collections with pen and paper. But, I found there were answers. My computers don't have to be slow! I don't have to waste time. Technology can be my friend! This is why I offer training and advice, to share my experience of more mature, more reliable tech solutions.
