Tortoise SVN on Windows

Tortoise SVN on Windows

I've always got a bunch of Windows people that refuse to use old school tools like CVS or even newer incarnations like BZR for version controls. They always want to just "FTP up the files." Fine, but it makes tracking all the stuff difficult. Not with Tortoise SVN! It's so simple, they'll have no excuse.

Check out all the options you have with this simple Windows ap.

VMWare to the Rescue: Linux on Windows Laptop

VMWare to the Rescue: Linux on Windows Laptop

Debian Linux, installed in minutes (like a few) over the network, from their "business card ISO CD, on my Windows laptop running VMWare Workstation 5.X.

I use all sorts of Linux tools and have become rather limited by the Windows toolset for development, so this was a serious productivity boost!

Most impressive was that it gave me zero errors, installed clean, and works like a champ - fast. I love this stuff.

VMWare to the Rescue: FreeBSD on Windows Laptop

FreeBSD, installed in minutes (like a few) over the network, clean and fast on a Windows box running VMWare Workstation 5.X. Man this stuff is a lifesaver. Now I can have the plug and play functionality of Windows on a laptop (and all the nuances of internet and wireless issues), and still use my FreeBSD tools with what almost seems to be an almost invisible virtual machine layer. It's screaming fast!

Another email attempting to collect bank information, claims "is obligatory to follow". Hey, someone gave the esl criminals a thesaurus.

This spam attempted to elude spam filters by using an image instead of text, and it worked. It slipped right through my Gmail spam filtering.
