My Saxophones
Posted April 12th, 2005 by jasonnMy little brother delivered one of these (on the right) one Christmas. They are both good tenor saxophones. The one on the left, a Selmer, is the one I played in band when I was a kid; the other is a York, my little brother's from his marching band days. He made a comment about the leather going bad if I didn't play them last visit. Truth is, I've made no real effort to play them since he dropped the one off.

Posted April 4th, 2005 by jasonnAt around ten this morning, my power went off and I heard a loud explosion. I assumed a transformer had blown up. We lose lightbulbs daily to the constant power fluctuations. So, it seemed due. As I walked around outside and talked to a neighbor about the explosion, a power company truck drove by and found the problem. It turns out that it wasn't a transformer that blew. It was a fuse. I didn't even realize that neighborhoods had fuses, let alone that they could make that kind of noise when they blow.
